Jackson💚 Cane Corso Boxer Mix 16.08.2022 vaccinated, microchipped, not neutered Jackson is looking for a home – with patience, heart, and humor. Jackson is a three-year-old Boxer–Cane Corso mix, vaccinated, microchipped, and currently not neutered. He came into private foster care because his previous owner unexpectedly had to go to the hospital. Unfortunately, the stay became prolonged, and now the owner does not want to take Jackson back. This great guy is now looking for people who can give him a real future. Jackson hasn't had the chance to experience much in his life so far. At his foster home, he is gradually catching up: leash walking, basic commands, and daily routines are currently being practiced – with visible progress. He is very eager to learn and puts in a lot of effort. With other dogs, Jackson is generally compatible. At the foster home, he lives harmoniously with a small Maltese mix male dog and an English Bulldog female dog. He generally gets along better with smaller dogs. With larger fellow animals, he can still be uncertain on the leash and sometimes "plays the macho." Training is needed here, which can be approached well with patience and consistency. Toward people, Jackson is an absolute sunshine: friendly, open, and cuddly – no matter if big or small. He also loves children. Another issue that needs work is being alone. Currently, Jackson has a hard time being by himself. His new people should therefore bring time, understanding, and the willingness to gently train this with him. Jackson is not a "finished" dog – but a wonderful rough diamond. He is looking for people with heart, patience, and the desire to grow together with him. Whoever gives him this chance will get a loyal, loving companion for life. Cats and small animals should not live in his home. Since we often receive inquiries, we would like to point out that our dogs are in foster homes across the country, and it may happen that you get to know the German Autobahn when you find your dream dog. We do not mediate adoptions abroad. Many thanks for the great pictures of Jackson: Insta: FB: If you are interested in our Jackson, please fill out our form:

About Jackson

What life with Jackson looks like

Jackson is a small adult mixed breed dog waiting at Listenhunde Nothilfe in Germany.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Jackson, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Jackson?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Listenhunde Nothilfe handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Jackson on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Jackson if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Listenhunde Nothilfe will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Jackson already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Jackson isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Listenhunde Nothilfe early rather than rehoming privately; they know Jackson and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
