adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Now request this dog! Jacky has found a home! His story: Jacky is a little puppy, who at just about 1.5 months old and around 20 cm shoulder height is still at the very beginning of his life. At 3.5 kg currently, he will surely still grow a good bit more. His soft fur, the pretty marking with the white blaze on his face and the warm brown patches give him a particularly lovable expression. His dark, curious eyes look attentively into the world and make it clear that a little explorer is growing up here. Character-wise, Jacky shows himself to be an especially sweet and affectionate puppy. He enjoys the company of humans very much and likes to be petted. While he appears open, friendly, and age-appropriately curious about everything that happens around him. Like every puppy, Jacky still wants to learn many things and discover the world step by step, preferably together with his future humans. Jacky gets along well with other dogs and shows himself to be social. As he is still so young, he will be able to adapt to many situations with the right guidance. His new family should be aware that a puppy needs time, patience, and loving upbringing to develop into a balanced and secure companion. A positively working dog training class can surely help him on his way—also during puberty, when the little ones often question what they have learned. Visually, one can already sense that different breeds are mixed into Jacky. For sure, a special mix! Jacky was brought to a local adoption shelter, where he now waits for people who would like to give him a loving home. For him, we wish a family that is ready to accompany a puppy through its growth, to give him security, and to patiently teach him everything a dog needs for a happy life by his humans' side. He travels vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and treated for fleas. Due to his young age, he is not yet neutered. But he brings his EU pet passport with his travel arrangements. After a positive Also, a foster home would be a good start for a new life for him. Can Jacky grow and be happy with you? Many thanks, Susanne! You gave Jacky his name and thus an identity. Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Stand: 11.03.2026

About Jacky

What life with Jacky looks like

Jacky is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Jacky, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Jacky?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Jacky on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Jacky if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Jacky already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Jacky isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Jacky and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
