JAGODA

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 1 month

JAGODA is looking for a calm and patient home! JAGODA is an approximately one-year-old female dog weighing about 5kg, who was taken in by the rescue team along with her siblings from a neglected backyard where they lived in difficult conditions. She is a sensitive and delicate female dog who needs time to trust people and feel safe. The animal shelter is a big challenge for her, so we are looking for a home that will give her peace, patience, and the opportunity to open up at her own pace. JAGODA is not yet able to walk on a leash, as this is a completely new experience for her. She is slowly learning to walk, but will need further work, consistency, and understanding. We are looking for an experienced caregiver and a quiet home without children, which will provide her with a sense of security and help her adjust to her new reality. Meetings are required so that JAGODA can gradually get to know her future caregiver and build a relationship with him. In the right hands, JAGODA has the chance to grow into a wonderful, loyal companion. The description is based on the observations of the dog at the animal shelter. JAGODA is under the care of OTOZ Animals animal shelter in Tczew. Shelter registration number: 71/26. The female dog is vaccinated, chipped, dewormed and spayed.

Jagoda szuka spokojnego i cierpliwego domu! Kontakt w sprawie adopcji: 58 531 96 56

About JAGODA

What life with JAGODA looks like

JAGODA is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Fundacja Puszatek in Warszawa.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting JAGODA, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about JAGODA?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Puszatek handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw JAGODA on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt JAGODA if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Puszatek will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is JAGODA already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if JAGODA isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Puszatek early rather than rehoming privately; they know JAGODA and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
