Adopt Jake

Mixed Breed · Male · Adult · 8 years

Jake is an 8-year-old Beagle who is with Last Chance Animal Rescue at their kennels in Edenbridge, Kent. Poor Jake hasn't had the best of lives and he truly deserves a special someone to offer him a retirement home. He needs an adult-only home, with people who understand Jake's needs. Jake has recently become diabetic, which is causing him to lose his vision. Last Chance are desperately seeking a foster or forever home for him before he loses his sight completely. He needs insulin injections twice a day, but he is such a good boy and he waits patiently as he knows a tasty carrot reward is coming. Poor Jake has had a traumatic past which has caused him to bite if he feels threatened. Once Jake trusts you and knows you, he is a very affectionate boy and loves a cuddle on the sofa. He is very good with other dogs socially but has to be the only dog at home due to resource guarding. Jake is obsessed with food and will do anything to get hold of it, and being a typical Beagle, he will try his very best to get what he wants! Please consider offering Jake a home if you have the experience and understanding he needs. Contact Last Chance Animal Rescue as follows: Email them via their website contact form . leave a message if they can't get to the phone) Please mention that you saw Jake on the Oldies Club website.
