Adopt Jake - ruhiger Husky aus unserem

Husky · Male · Young · 3 years

Husky puppy Jake came to us in late July 2016 because his owners could no longer cope with him. His new humans should definitely be experienced with dogs, as he is not an easy dog who, once he has learned something, does not want to forget it. On the other hand, Jake is a very eager learner who enjoys and successfully participates in dog training classes and would certainly develop well with people who give him clear and, above all, sovereign leadership. Children, cats, and small animals should not be in the new home. As for fellow animals, one would have to try, as he already likes to bark outside sometimes but lives peacefully with a male dog here. Due to his age, our Jake has been taken in by the Nori Project, so you do not have to fear future veterinary costs.

About Jake - ruhiger Husky aus unserem

What life with Jake - ruhiger Husky aus unserem looks like

Jake - ruhiger Husky aus unserem is a medium-sized young adult husky dog waiting at Tierheim Düsseldorf in Düsseldorf.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

Note from the shelter: Resource guarding behavior - does not give up items once claimed

Frequently asked

Adopting Jake - ruhiger Husky aus unserem, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Jake - ruhiger Husky aus unserem?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierheim Düsseldorf handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Jake - ruhiger Husky aus unserem on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Jake - ruhiger Husky aus unserem if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierheim Düsseldorf will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Jake - ruhiger Husky aus unserem already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Jake - ruhiger Husky aus unserem isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierheim Düsseldorf early rather than rehoming privately; they know Jake - ruhiger Husky aus unserem and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
