Jamie

Mixed Breed · Female · Kitten · 3 months

Ilza Yosifova, a female cat born around June 2026, is currently located in Bulgaria. She has not been spayed and has tested negative for FIV and FeLV. Ilza has a minor eye condition due to a previous infection. She is compatible with children and cats but not dogs. Requirements include no single-cat households, indoor-only living, and no outdoor access. A balcony or patio is desirable (if available, securing it is necessary). Jamie, a kitten, was discovered near Ilza's home. She initially lived with her mother and was still nursing. Ilza kept an eye on her and initially left her with her mother. However, after a few weeks, Ilza noticed that something was wrong with Jamie's eye. The kitten had developed a severe infection and needed urgent help. Fortunately, Ilza was able to catch Jamie and bring her to a vet. Jamie's eye required prolonged treatment with antibiotics. Fortunately, she recovered well and now only has a minor cosmetic blemish on her eye. Jamie has become a happy and playful cat. She enjoys discovering new things and is enthusiastic about playing. She is friendly and affectionate towards people and seems to enjoy being petted. Jamie is a sweet little cat who has long since left her difficult past behind and is now enjoying her young life as a cat. For Jamie, after her rocky start, only one thing is desired: many happy things. Jamie's unique eye condition is a part of her, but it does not bother her at all - and we very much hope that her future owners will feel the same. ‼️ Jamie will only be adopted to a young cat of similar age already in the household - or she will bring a friend from the foster home‼️

About Jamie

What life with Jamie looks like

Jamie is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed cat waiting at Glücksnasen e.V. Tierschutzverein in Germany.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Jamie, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Jamie?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Glücksnasen e.V. Tierschutzverein handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Jamie on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Jamie if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Glücksnasen e.V. Tierschutzverein will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Jamie already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Jamie isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Glücksnasen e.V. Tierschutzverein early rather than rehoming privately; they know Jamie and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
