Jamie

Mixed Breed · Male · Adult · 5 years

5 year old Jamie is a happy, loving cat who came to us from the street in a sorry state. After extensive dental work, Jamie is ready for his forever home in the UK. Jamie loves scratches, pets and all kinds of attention, but isn't a fan of loud noises. Despite his luxurious fur, he isn't a big shedder and is quite tidy overall. He gets his zoomies early morning, but isn't one to meow unless invited into conversation - at which point he likes talking back to you! Jamie is very particular about who he hangs out with, so would be better as an only cat. He would be a great family cat. Jamie is fully vaccinated, microchipped, neutered, FIV/FeLV negative and is ready to board the next flight from Qatar to the UK. Overseas adoption fee applies.

About Jamie

What life with Jamie looks like

Jamie is a medium-sized adult mixed breed cat waiting at Paws Rescue UK in United Kingdom.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Jamie, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Jamie?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Paws Rescue UK handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Jamie on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Jamie if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Paws Rescue UK will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Jamie already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Jamie isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Paws Rescue UK early rather than rehoming privately; they know Jamie and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
