Jango

Male · Adult · 4 years

Jango is a 11-year-old French braque, born on December 12, 2014, microchipped, vaccinated, and neutered. He was entrusted to us because his previous owner no longer had the time to take care of him. He is a loving dog who demands quick cuddles. He is very easy to live with, calm inside, and dynamic outside. He is familiar with children, patient with them, but does not particularly seek their contact. Despite his age, he is an avid walker, and you should aim for a number and duration of walks similar to a younger dog. He enjoys following trails like most hunting dogs, but he also has a good recall. He gets along with other dogs; in fact, he shares his enclosure with Moï, who is also up for adoption here. Jango can live with a cat: he is interested but respects when the cat says no. He knows how to be alone, is clean, and does not destroy anything. He had some health issues, but he is doing perfectly well today with no lasting effects; we will communicate the details to you if you are interested in adopting him. In summary, Jango is the perfect dog! If you are interested, you can send us a motivated application by email: and return the adoption form to us. We IMPERATIVELY need to be contacted by phone before you make a trip to see him, thank you!

About Jango

What life with Jango looks like

Jango is a large adult dog waiting at 30 Millions d'Amis in Paris.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Fees are typically €150–€300. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting Jango, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Jango?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. 30 Millions d'Amis handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Jango on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Jango if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — 30 Millions d'Amis will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Jango already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Jango isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with 30 Millions d'Amis early rather than rehoming privately; they know Jango and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
