adoption requirements adoption process Now adopt this animal! adoption requirements adoption process The beautiful Jar Jar has found his home! His story: The beautiful Jar Jar coos at everyone in his foster home with his lovely, brown paw 🙂 He has already become good friends with his new companion, an English Bulldog, and they sleep snuggled up to each other. Originally from Fantanele, Romania, Jar Jar had a tough start in life. He was found on the street with his brothers, and sadly, one of the puppies did not survive. But Jar Jar and his siblings have vowed to make the most of their lives and are now showing their puppyish side with their chocolate-colored coats. Jar Jar's charming appearance, with his beautiful fur in various shades of brown, makes him a real eye-catcher. As a puppy at around 11 months old, Jar Jar is naturally curious, friendly, and playful. He loves the company of humans, and he can't get enough of children. He is truly an absolute dream dog. Jar Jar still has the turbulent pubertal phase ahead of him. A time of adjustment and development, during which young dogs need loving guidance and a lot of patience. A visit to a positively working dog training class is particularly important during this phase and can help redirect puppyish thoughts in a dog-friendly way and solidify learned behaviors. Jar Jar is likely to grow into a large dog, probably around 30-35 kg. Currently, he is about 55 cm tall. It is not certain which breeds are in him and his brothers. Jar Jar gets along super well with his brothers and all other dogs. Cat compatibility has not yet been tested, but this should not be a problem due to his young age. For our charming Jar Jar, we are looking for active and fit people who are eager to go on adventures with Jar Jar. But plenty of cuddle time should not be lacking either. Jar Jar is microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-treated. He brings his EU pet passport and can be adopted after a positive assessment. Who will give Jar Jar their heart? Many thanks to Claudia D.! You have given Jar Jar his name! Date: 04.03. This is a young, adolescent dog.

Vielen Dank Claudia D.! Du hast Jar Jar seinen Namen geschenkt! Stand: 04.03.2024

About Jar Jar

What life with Jar Jar looks like

Jar Jar is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Jar Jar, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Jar Jar?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Jar Jar on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Jar Jar if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Jar Jar already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Jar Jar isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Jar Jar and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
