Jeffry

Mixed Breed · Male · Young · 2 years

Jeffry - little treasure with a big heart 💙 Everything changed for the little guy overnight. 🥺 Despite this, Jeffry proves to be incredibly sweet, friendly and cuddly. Ehrlichiosis was diagnosed in Jeffry during his examinations. Treatment has now begun and we will of course accompany him. For his future family, this means above all that his treatment and further checks must be carried out reliably. Otherwise, Jeffry must first learn the most important thing: that people mean well to him and that he can finally feel safe again. ❤️ Because Jeffry is a real little cuddly treasure. He loves people and enjoys every attention. Stroking, cuddling, hugging - Jeffry likes everything. You can hug him tightly and cuddle with him, and he just stays relaxed and enjoys the closeness. 🥰 Jeffry is also completely uncomplicated with other dogs and cats. He already walks on a leash, gets into the car independently and drives there without any problems. However, Jeffry is not yet familiar with life in Germany. Many things that are self-evident for our furry friends, he must first learn: new sounds, environmental stimuli, processes and rules. His humans should therefore show him with patience and loving consistency how the big, new world works. At the moment, it can still happen that Jeffry cries a little in his box. He may also be a bit uncertain at first when left alone. We can't blame him for that at all. After all, his previous life was turned upside down. Maybe he just needs a little time until he understands that he is now safe and will not lose everything again. ❤️ We wish Jeffry people who give him security, give him time to arrive and accompany him lovingly on his way - including his started treatment against Ehrlichiosis. Jeffry is about 35 cm and 6.2 kg, a small, handy treasure - but with a big heart. 💙 He has so much love to give and we very much hope that he will soon find people with whom he can stay forever. 🐾 Jeffry is waiting for his happy ending. Maybe with you? ❤️

About Jeffry

What life with Jeffry looks like

Jeffry is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Fellnasen Stuttgart e.V. in Stuttgart.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Jeffry, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Jeffry?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fellnasen Stuttgart e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Jeffry on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Jeffry if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fellnasen Stuttgart e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Jeffry already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Jeffry isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fellnasen Stuttgart e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Jeffry and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
