Personality:Jeremy and Jean came into our care from a large multi-cat household. It is clear to see that they have had no human contact or positive interaction and are therefore struggling with being in the cattery environment. They spent some time in a foster home where they could have a quiet space away from the everyday sounds in the cattery. Whilst they felt comfortable to access their resources whilst no-one was around, human presence was still frightening for them. They are looking forward to a fresh start outdoors where they can soon have their freedom again. Behaviour:Jeremy and Jean are fearful around people and hide away during the day. Footage from our camera’s show that they are most comfortable accessing their resources overnight; so once its all gone quiet, they both come out to explore their area. This is when they will become quite adventurous and will engage in play independently or together. Jeremy and Jean are not displaying behaviours of being typical pet cats so for this reason they are looking for an alternative home, as it is likely they will prefer the independence and freedom of enjoying life outdoors. Over time, Jeremy and Jean may get braver and decide to interact with their carers and may choose to spend more time around them. Housing:Due to Jeremy and Jean coming from a multi-cat household, it is unlikely they have had much positive interaction with people, for this reason they would prefer to have a safe, secure, sheltered outbuilding or shed. This can be in a spacious garden/farm land/stables or an alternative similar set up. Their adopters will need to use a hands off approach and either live onsite or visit the site at least twice a day to provide them with their essentials such as fresh food and water. It may be that they will prefer to live permanently like this but they may gradually build trust with their owners and surroundings and choose to live a more conventional lifestyle in a home. They cannot be homed in Littlehampton, BN17 area. Children/pets:Considerations can be made for adopters with other pets depending on space and individual circumstances. Jeremy and Jean will need to be cared for by adults only and if children are onsite, they should be supervised at all times. Vet history:Jeremy and Jean are neutered, microchipped, flea, wormed and fully vaccinated. They will be ear tipped prior to adoption. Jeremy and Jean have no known medical conditions. 4 weeks free pet insurance included with adoption. Adoption fee:The adoption fee is £75. If you would like to make an additional donation over and above the adoption fee, this would be hugely appreciated. Additional information:All rented and leasehold properties will require written consent from the property owner or agent. This needs to be in place before completing an application form. If your application is successful, staff will request a copy.We reserve the right to remove a reserve at any stage of the adoption process if we believe it is in the best interest of the cat.Adopters should consider that previous medical conditions will now not be covered by insurance. Adopters are responsible for the on-going medical costs once the animal has been adopted.Due to the high number of applications we receive daily, regrettably we will only be able to contact the successful applicant.Please note you have to be 18+ to apply for an animal.
