JERRY

Greyhound Β· Unknown Β· Young Β· 2 years

JERRY Kennel 3 is occupied by Jerry. Jerry is a black male born in January 2024. Jerry is our youngest kennel hound and is enthusiastic sprinkled with a bit of dizzy. Jerry is unraced as he sustained an injury around 12 months of age, he recovered then spent some more time with his siblings doing what greyhound puppies do best, having fun. Jerry is now looking for his home, and will be looking for owners who understand he is just a bit of an β€˜ants in your pants’ type busy body, but will settle down as he explores the world more. He is a kind and playful dog, and loves his bestie β€˜Jack’ the patterdale terrier. We will update more as we get to know Jerry better.

About JERRY

What life with JERRY looks like

JERRY is a young adult greyhound dog waiting at Lincolnshire Greyhound Trust in United Kingdom.

A young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" β€” quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures β€” to let them settle.

πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting JERRY, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about JERRY?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Lincolnshire Greyhound Trust handles screening and the adoption contract directly β€” TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw JERRY on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt JERRY if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad β€” Lincolnshire Greyhound Trust will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is JERRY already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported β€” ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if JERRY isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work β€” that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Lincolnshire Greyhound Trust early rather than rehoming privately; they know JERRY and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect β€” names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
