She originally comes from Zărnești, a town about 20 kilometres from Brașov. There, fortunately, our animal welfare colleagues have an agreement with the municipality to take in the stray animals from there. Before that, there was a municipal animal shelter, but the way the animals were kept was simply not appropriate and the shelter was more of a place of horror. We are glad that this shelter has closed and all the animals are now cared for by our animal welfare colleagues. We are looking for a loving home for Jessie with empathetic, experienced dog lovers who will give her the sense of security she needs. During the initial vet check, we discovered a scar, but we don’t know where it came from. We don’t know whether she may have had bad experiences with children, but we can suspect that she hasn’t had good experiences with them, because she reacts extremely to children. For this reason, there should be as few children as possible in her new living environment. A new home right next to a school or nursery would be pure stress for Jessie. At the animal shelter, she has fallen in love with the male dog Bob. The two of them are very fond of each other, often lie snuggled up close together, and play and romp in the run so joyfully that it’s a delight to watch them. Our dream – and surely that of Jessie and Bob – would be for the two of them to find a home together in a rural setting, ideally with a large, securely fenced garden.
