Jim Bob

Male · Young · 1 year

Could you be my perfect match? Hello! My name is I can live with Dogs Cats Children MY story This is what his foster mum had to say:Meet Jimbob ❤️Jimbob is a truly special boy with the sweetest nature. When he first arrived with us, he was very scared and unsure of the world around him, but with patience, love and reassurance, he has blossomed into a wonderful, affectionate companion.Jimbob absolutely adores people and loves being close to his humans. He greets you with so much excitement when you come home, wagging happily and bouncing around on his big paws. Once you’ve earned his trust, you’ll have a loyal shadow, as he loves following his people from room to room and enjoys being involved in whatever you’re doing. His favourite place is curled up beside you, soaking up cuddles and companionship. He is an incredibly loving dog who thrives on human affection and simply wants to be part of the family.Jimbob is also a very clever boy. He has quickly learned commands such as sit, paw and kiss, and is eager to learn more. His confidence continues to grow every day.Although he has come a long way, Jimbob can still be nervous in new situations and is learning that the outside world isn’t such a scary place. Having our resident dog to guide him has made a huge difference, and because of this, we feel he would benefit greatly from living with another friendly, confident dog who can help him continue building his confidence. He loves playing with other dogs and enjoys zooming around the garden, where his playful side really shines. Visitors can initially make him a little unsure, and he may bark or growl when meeting new people, but once he realises he is safe, he settles quickly and is happy to make new friends. So he would need 4 or 5 meet ups to get confident with a new person. Jimbob has recently undergone surgery to correct double luxating patella. He has been an absolute superstar throughout his recovery and is doing brilliantly. He is expected to make a full recovery and will soon be ready to enjoy all the adventures his future family has to offer. He attends hydro in Deal (which the rescue will continue to cover the cost of) which helps build his muscle nice and strong. Jimbob is looking for a patient, understanding home that will continue to help him grow in confidence while giving him all the love he deserves. In return, he will reward his new family with endless affection, loyalty and companionship. MY PERFECT HOME Jim Bob needs a secure garden with 6ft fencing and no gaps at all.As with all dogs on going training will be needed.Jim Bob can live with dogs, cats and children 8+. About Jim Bob

What life with Jim Bob looks like

Jim Bob is a medium-sized young adult dog waiting at Angels 4 Dogs Rescue in United Kingdom.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Jim Bob, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Jim Bob?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Angels 4 Dogs Rescue handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Jim Bob on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Jim Bob if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Angels 4 Dogs Rescue will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Jim Bob already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Jim Bob isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Angels 4 Dogs Rescue early rather than rehoming privately; they know Jim Bob and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
