Jiminy

Mixed Breed · Male · Puppy · 6 months

adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Now request this dog! Jiminy, a 6 month old Husky mixed-breed male, is already waiting in a foster home in Germany for his family. Jiminy is very loving and cuddly, and when he meets strangers on the street, he is more cautious. He loves playing with other dogs but also enjoys playing alone with his toys. Sleeping is his favorite activity. When he needs to go out, he lets you know, so he is house-trained. He approaches new situations with openness and a lot of basic trust. In the company of other dogs, Jiminy shows a friendly disposition, and he has even met cats. Children he has not met yet. Jiminy has predominantly light fur, which looks particularly cute with the dark spots on his back and the slightly darker facial area. His spotted nose and the already slightly bushy tail complete his overall cute appearance. Probably a Husky mix, he is expected to reach a shoulder height of about medium when fully grown - currently, he has a shoulder height of 55 cm and weighs around 26 kg. Huskies are true adventurers with heart: they are smart, attentive, and need lots of movement as well as mental stimulation. Although they tend to be independent to a certain degree, they build a close bond with their people and are highly social and deeply loyal. As family dogs, they feel most comfortable when their high needs for stimulation, confident leadership, and shared activities are met. He is coming into puberty soon, a normal developmental phase where everything is questioned and can sometimes become stubborn. Those who accompany him during this time with orientation, understanding, and patience will surely be delighted with a very special connection at the end. As of now, he has not yet been neutered. Many thanks, Cindy, for taking on his nametag sponsorship. Current status: 04.06. This animal is vaccinated. This animal is microchipped. Some symptoms here are age-related. This animal is not yet neutered/spayed.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Stand: 04.06.2026

About Jiminy

What life with Jiminy looks like

Jiminy is a puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Jiminy, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Jiminy?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Jiminy on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Jiminy if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Jiminy already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Jiminy isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Jiminy and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
