Personality & BehaviorJimmy’s story could have ended very differently…He was first seen in the sea near a beach in Albufeira, struggling to stay afloat. It is believed he may have been thrown from a boat. Exhausted and fighting to swim, he was spotted by some tourists , but for reasons unknown, no one helped him.Later, Jimmy somehow made his way to a nearby hotel, completely energetic, lying still and utterly drained of energy. Thankfully, one of our volunteers who works at the same hotel saw him and immediately stepped in. She brought him safely to our shelter, and that’s where his second chance began.Jimmy is still very young and full of life with the sweetest nature. Despite what he has been through, he has a very nice temperament, affectionate, friendly, and incredibly loving. He is an active, playful boy who enjoys interaction and would thrive in a home where he can burn off his youthful energy and continue building confidence. Adoption RequirementsHome type : Because Jimmy is young and lively he would do best with an active family or individual who enjoys walks and playtime with a secure outdoor space where he can run safely.Experience level : Someone willing to continue his training and guidance, who understands how to encourage proper interactions with other dogs and will help Jimmy build confidence.Other pets/kids : He would suit a family with children who understand how to interact kindly with dogs, or an active couple looking for a fun and affectionate companion.
