Depuis le début, il a démontré de l'agression pour défendre ses possessions. Ses maîtres ont fait appel à un thérapeute comportemental directement. Après ça, leur problème suivant était gérer leur temps. Aussi, ils avaient un petit enfant qui commençait à ramper et ils ne faisaient pas confiance à Joey. HistoireJoey est un chien tranquille, attentif, joueur, intelligent et désireux d'apprendre. Des visiteurs et des inconnus à l'extérieur, il les trouve excitant. En premier lieu il est hésitant, mais finalement il vient faire connaissance, renifler et demander un câlin. Joey s'approprie des choses dans la maison comme sa place à dormir, de la nourriture, un os et ses jouets et il les défend en grognant. Heureusement, il n'a jamais mordu. Il ne défend ses jouets que quand tu veux les prendre. En jouant, il ne grogne pas et il te le donne comme ça. Rester seul à la maison ne pose aucun problème. Il connaît la cage et t'accompagne avec plaisir dans la voiture. Joey a suivi avec ses maîtres plusieurs cours à l'éducation canine. Il connaît les commandes de base. Là où il connaît l'environnement, il peut courir sans laisse en promenant. Il vient assez bien quand tu l'appelles. Il n'essaye pas de conduire le trafic. Quand on passe par un pré, Joey trouve les moutons intéressants. Il n'a pas encore été testé avec les moutons. Quel type de forever home cherche-t-on pour Joey? Des adoptants qui ont assez de confiance en soi-même et qui savent bien lire le comportement d'un chien. Des nouveaux maîtres qui continuent à essayer de contrôler son agression de possession.
