R.I.P. John – Boy The sky has a new star. Our old friend "John-Boy" has crossed the rainbow bridge, and we are endlessly sad. John Boy could not get up independently yesterday morning and despite his medication/painkillers, he had very strong pain. His knee was especially swollen, and even with our help, he didn't want to take another step, didn't want to get up, and only wanted to lie on his bed. John Boy, like some of you know, unfortunately had many health problems, especially in the "hindquarters/spine," and now the chances of healing were zero. He was looking for an ground-level hospice place without stairs because his condition was known or for palliative care. We decided together with the vet yesterday that we cannot let our "great treasure" suffer anymore. Dear John Boy, you no longer have pain and are surely jumping over the fields up there... Thank you for letting us get to know and appreciate you, even if only for a short time, you have left big marks in our hearts. R.I.P. John – Boy Der Himmel hat einen neuen Stern. Unser Oldie „John-Boy“ ist über die Regenbogenbrücke gegangen und wir sind unendlich traurig. John Boy konnte gestern Morgen plötzlich nicht mehr selbständig aufstehen und hatte trotz seiner Medikation/Schmerzmittel sehr starke Schmerzen. Sein Sprunggelenk war unter anderem stark geschwollen und selbst mit unserer Hilfe wollte er keinen Meter mehr gehen, er wollte nicht mehr aufstehen und wollte nur auf seinem Bett liegen. John Boy hatte wie einige wissen leider sehr viele gesundheitliche Probleme, vorallem in der „Hinterhand/Wirbelsäule“ und nun waren die Heilungschancen gleich bei „Null“. Er suchte damals einen ebenerdigen Hospizplatz ohne Treppen, weil sein Krankheitsbild bekannt war bzw. eine Palliativbetreuung/pflege. Wir haben uns gestern zusammen mit dem Tierarzt entschieden, das wir unseren „Großen Schatz“ nicht noch leiden lassen wollen. Lieber John Boy, nun hast du keine Schmerzen mehr und springst bestimmt dort oben über die Wiesen…… Danke, das wir dich kennen und schätzen lernen durften auch wenn es nur für eine kurze Zeit war, hast du in unseren Herzen große Spuren hinterlassen.
