adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! adoption requirements adoption process Jonna has found a home! Her story: Will Jonna find her great happiness with you? Seven charming siblings storm our hearts! Jonna, Rio, Pico, and Chap, Arielle, Amabella, and Sarbi: Seven siblings, who wish nothing more than to spread their charm in their own family. The little puppies are on the hunt for their home – because they haven't arrived there yet. Currently, the approximately 3-month-old puppies live in the outdoor enclosure of our shelterer Stefan in Bistrita. There, they are safe from the dangers of the street, do not have to starve, and learn their first positive encounters with people. But that does not replace the feeling of being a family dog with all the wonderful effects: loved, emotionally cared for, and valued with the familiar two-legged being through life. In mid-February, it will be time: Jonna could make the great journey into a new world – into the arms of her very own family. Jonna looks a lot like her sister Amabella. With her sandy fur, the little puppy is a real looker. The little eyes already practice the puppy gaze – it doesn't take much to fall in love with the magical puppy. At the moment, Jonna is about 22 cm tall, and she is likely to grow to a medium size. Playing with the siblings and other puppies in the shelter, bounding through the enclosure merrily and exploring the world, eating, sleeping, and enjoying the cuddles of the foster parents – that is Jonas's current daily routine. When the girl finds her place in the sun as a beloved family dog, Jonna will have to get used to many things. Living in a house with the reference people means house training. Going on walks with you means understanding leash handling. Accepting that you provide the food but leave the dinner table to the two-legged beings is something a little puppy must also learn. And puberty does not make these rules easier, but are gladly questioned again in the time. It means standing firm but explaining with thoughtfulness what is important to you. If you have the time, desire, and patience to take in a little magical puppy girl and thereby make Jonna the jackpot of her life, then please contact us via the website and get in touch with us. Jonna is vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and treated for fleas. She will be rehomed for an adoption fee of 500 Euros and with a valid EU pet passport. We thank the godmother Sophia for giving Jonas a valuable identity with her name. As of: 22.01. This animal is house-trained.

Stand: 22.01.2025

About Jonna

What life with Jonna looks like

Jonna is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Jonna, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Jonna?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Jonna on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Jonna if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Jonna already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Jonna isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Jonna and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
