adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Now request this dog! Joshi has found a home! His story: The young Joshi was found abandoned near a trash container – hungry and all alone. Fortunately, he was discovered in time and saved, and now lives in a foster home in Baia Mare, Romania. There, he waits for his chance at a real home, because Joshi should not spend his youth in an animal shelter but grow up in his own family. Joshi has now grown into a happy young dog. At about 7 months old and currently around 45 cm shoulder height, he brings the best prerequisites for an active dog life. We wish for him people who will accompany him lovingly, give him security, and show him step by step how wonderful life as a family dog can be. A foster home would also make Joshi very happy. Joshi is a little fighter – otherwise, he would not have managed his start in life on the street so well. Today, he shows a friendly, open, and age-appropriate playful side. He loves to snuggle, play, and explore his surroundings curiously. His black-brown coat with the large, gleaming white chest spot makes him a real looker. With his shining eyes, Joshi still looks a little cautious but full of hope into the future. He is likely to develop into a medium to large male dog. Since Joshi has hardly gathered any experiences with life in a home so far, he still needs to learn the dog 1×1. House training, leash manners, and everyday routines are still unfamiliar to him. But Joshi is very people-oriented and tries to do everything right. With patience, loving consistency, and positive reinforcement, he will surely learn these things quickly. A visit to a positively working dog training class would be a wonderful support for him. As a young dog, Joshi is in the middle of an exciting developmental phase. Puberty can still bring some challenges: boundaries are tested, and rules are questioned. With understanding, consistent people by his side, Joshi will master this time well and grow up to be a confident, balanced young male dog. We wish for Joshi animal-loving people who will give him time, patience, and affection, provide him with a family connection, a warm dog bed, varied walks, and enough contact with fellow animals. Have you fallen in love with our little, dear Joshi? Then contact us. Stand: 24.01. Thank you to the namingsponsor Andrea S., who gave the little Joshi his beautiful name!. This animal is vaccinated. This animal is microchipped.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Stand: 24.01.2026

About Joshi

What life with Joshi looks like

Joshi is a medium-sized puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Joshi, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Joshi?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Joshi on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Joshi if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Joshi already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Joshi isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Joshi and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
