Joy

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Puppy · 4 months

adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! Rest in peace, little Joy! Her story: The little Joy is searching for a warm forever home. At just two months old, Joy and her siblings are looking for a place where they can grow up and forget about their start in life. Joy is a true treasure. Her name, Programm, means not only "joy," but she lives it every day. She is super friendly and open. Now she just needs the right family. Every day, Joy and her siblings play and cuddle to their heart's content, and they are always overjoyed to see two-leggeds, getting cuddle units every time. Since Joy is still a puppy, she still has a lot to learn, like the puppy multiplication table. At first, a little patience is needed, but Joy is definitely worth it. There may also be another patience test during puberty, as Joy is sure to occasionally "forget" something. The good news is that this time will also pass. We also recommend a visit to a positive-working puppy school to further solidify the puppy multiplication table and further socialize the little mouse. After the puppy school, you can reward yourselves with cuddle hours on the couch. Joy travels microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-treated with an EU pet passport to her new home. We would also be very happy to have our sweet puppy girl in a foster home. Can Joy hop into your warm dog bed? Many thanks to Johanna! You gave Joy her name.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen!Ruhe in Frieden, kleine Joy! Vielen Dank an Johanna! Du hast Joy ihren Namen geschenkt.

About Joy

What life with Joy looks like

Joy is a puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Joy, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Joy?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Joy on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Joy if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Joy already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Joy isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Joy and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
