adoption requirements adoption process Now adopt this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Juli has found a new home! Her story: 72296 Schopfloch. Attention, here comes our Super Sniffer, Juli! The little mouse could hardly be cuter and is a really wonderful female dog. She is currently desperately in need of a new home. Juli was given to us alone and on her own in a box by our veterinarian in Bistrita, Romania. Fortunately, she was quickly taken care of and even traveled to Germany. Juli is currently in a German foster home and is waiting for a loving new dog bed. She is about 7 months old and has a shoulder height of about 30cm – she will probably not grow much more and will thus maintain a wonderful small size. With her fluffy fur, her snout, and the white spots, she could hardly be cuter, a truly special female dog. But Juli is not only cute on the outside. She is very friendly, strongly oriented towards her people, and loves to snuggle. Juli is also a small clever furball and has already learned a lot in her short life: She is house-trained, can perform some basic signals like sit and stay, and learns quickly for her age. Additionally, she communicates well what she likes and what she finds silly. However, the little mouse has not only had nice experiences behind her, not all people have been good to her. We are therefore looking for a loving, patient new home for her, where she can finally arrive in peace and without high expectations. Where she can be approached in a needs-oriented, positively reinforcing way and Juli is given the opportunity to continue blooming. Juli is not only incredibly worthy of it and has earned the right to finally arrive – she also gives back infinitely. You can meet Juli at any time in her foster home. She is dewormed, microchipped, vaccinated, and treated for fleas. She also has an EU pet passport and will be adopted for a fee of 450 Euros. Would you like to meet Juli? Then feel free to contact us! Many thanks Britta S.! You gave Juli her beautiful name!

Dann meld dich gern! Vielen Dank Britta S.! Du hast Juli ihren schönen Namen geschenkt!

About Juli

What life with Juli looks like

Juli is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Juli, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Juli?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Juli on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Juli if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Juli already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Juli isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Juli and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
