Julian arrived at our shelter as a found dog from Dziewiczej Góra. Everything points to the fact that he was abandoned, but despite his difficult experiences, he is now gradually opening up to people and showing his true character. He is a contact-seeking, energetic dog who initially needs a moment to get to know a new person and feel safe. Once he trusts, he quickly forms a relationship and displays a whole range of emotions. Julian knows how to enjoy life fully. Sometimes it’s hard for him to contain his excitement—he jumps, encourages play, and tries to grab the caregiver’s hand, treating it as a form of shared play. Julian loves activity and movement. Balls are definitely one of his favorite attractions, so the future caregiver should ensure a proper balance of play and more calm forms of spending time. Engaging activities involving the nose and brain, such as scent work or scent play, would help him calm down and better regulate his emotions. We are looking for a home for Julian with a conscious and responsible owner who is ready to work with his energy and needs. Julian must be the only animal— he won’t find a home with other animals. This is an emotional, characterful, and potential-filled dog. He needs a person who will show him a calm world and be able to wisely guide his energy. In return, Julian gives immense joy, engagement, and authentic relationships.
