Julius

Male · Kitten · 4 months

Julius arrived yesterday at his foster home in France, near Saarbrücken, with his friend Pipo. You are welcome to visit him there. Pipo has already found his happy home. Now, Julius is waiting for his forever home. Julius is developing wonderfully and is very curious and playful. All of his friends have already found homes, and he is also ready for his new family: He is neutered, vaccinated, and tested negative for FIV and FeLV. The only thing missing now is the right family to give him a loving home. Julius was born in the spring of 2025 in the garden of a house in a small village on the outskirts of Cartagena, along with many other kittens. Five cat mothers had settled there because they felt safe. The animal-loving owner did his best to take care of the little families but eventually asked our partners for help, as the situation became too much for him to handle alone. Julius is a beautiful gray and white young tomcat with a loving, sociable nature. He loves to play with other cats, cuddle, and stick his curious little head everywhere. He brings joy and liveliness to any household, along with a lot of heart. Julius will not be rehomed as an only cat, as he needs the company of other cats to grow up happily. He would love to bring one of his siblings with him – playing, sleeping, and growing together is simply more fun. Currently, Julius is living in Spain with other cats and even with small dogs. For travel arrangements, he is vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, and tested for FIV and FeLV. Do you have a spot for a curious, loving young tomcat? Then get in touch – Julius is waiting to win your heart.

About Julius

What life with Julius looks like

Julius is a puppy/kitten cat waiting at Aktion Tierisch Happy e.V. in Germany.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Julius, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Julius?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Aktion Tierisch Happy e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Julius on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Julius if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Aktion Tierisch Happy e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Julius already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Julius isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Aktion Tierisch Happy e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Julius and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
