adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Now request this dog! Jumper and his brother Linus had a tough start in life. Abandoned and chased by humans, they wandered around for a long time until they were finally secured in the small village of Bologa. Now they can rest in Cluj. Linus has already found his family and will travel to his new home in late July. Jumper stays behind – with the hope in his heart that loving people will come soon to give him a warm dog bed and a "forever home." The Romanian foster home is not a place where a young dog can grow up freely. Jumper needs time to build trust – but whoever wins his heart will be rewarded with a cuddly and affectionate companion. With his cream-colored, slightly scruffy fur, gentle brown eyes, and light brown floppy ears, Jumper is a real looker. His gaze is mischievous yet full of gentleness – and his tail is carried in its normal length. Jumper is reserved with people, he must first learn to trust them. With other fellow animals, Jumper is very compatible. We are looking for a patient and empathetic family to show him step by step how wonderful life can be. The Puppy ABC – house training, leash training, and being left alone – are still new to him. The exciting phase of puberty has already begun. Here, Jumper needs people who can accompany him with loving consistency and forgive small mishaps with a smile. A visit to a positively working dog training class will help him master challenges and develop self-confidence. If Jumper can experience this time with love and patience, he will certainly become a wonderful lifelong companion. We wish from the bottom of our hearts that he can finally experience the beautiful sides of life and learn that there are people who love him just as he is. Are you perhaps that person? Then please contact us. The handsome puppy travels neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and treated for fleas. He brings an EU pet passport and would be thrilled about a spot as a foster home. Many thanks, Britta! Your namingsponsorship was the starting gun for a new life! As of: 19.07.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! About Jumper

What life with Jumper looks like

Jumper is a large young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Jumper, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Jumper?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Jumper on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Jumper if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Jumper already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Jumper isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Jumper and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
