Hoewel ze door lieve buurtbewoners werden gevoerd, leefden ze in constante angst; de gevreesde dogcatchers lagen namelijk continu op de loer om hen te vangen en naar het dodingstation te brengen. Gelukkig werd de kleine familie net op tijd gered! June heeft haar dochtertje Melina met succes grootgebracht op straat en mag nu eindelijk zélf gaan genieten van een onbezorgd leven.
