Juniper

Male Β· Kitten Β· 7 months

Juniper came into our care after being transferred from another RSPCA. Juniper is finding the adjustment to the cattery difficult and often becoming quite vocally defensive of her space. After a short assessment period we feel Juniper will be suited to a more outdoor lifestyle. Suitable homes for Juniper would be, a small holding/farm or stable, or a home with lots of outdoor space .Juniper is not a true feral so needs fresh water and food twice daily, alongside a secure shelter whilst she’s settling in. As we don’t have any history on Juniper, we’re unsure if the cattery is dampening her spirit or if this is her true self, so she may decide she wants to be friends with humans in the future. For this reason she is looking for adopters who would be happy with both outcomes. Do you have right home for Juniper to have a fresh start?

About Juniper

What life with Juniper looks like

Juniper is a small kitten cat waiting at RSPCA Suffolk Central Branch in United Kingdom.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months β€” most shelters arrange this before adoption.

πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Juniper, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Juniper?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. RSPCA Suffolk Central Branch handles screening and the adoption contract directly β€” TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Juniper on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Juniper if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad β€” RSPCA Suffolk Central Branch will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Juniper already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported β€” ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Juniper isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work β€” that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with RSPCA Suffolk Central Branch early rather than rehoming privately; they know Juniper and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect β€” names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
