Adopt Kalinka

Female · Young · 3 years

Kalinka – another Russian-European breed dog in our hostel, and at the same time our sunshine, which illuminates every day of work. Young, because at about 3 years of age, weight 17 kg and 50 cm gorgeous female dog. To say Kalinka loves people is not enough. She idolizes people, lives for their presence, their grooves, their hugs. Her joy when we approach her boxing to take her for a walk reaches to the ceiling - literally. Kalinka jumps joyfully all over boxing, on the wake, on our heads, because she is so very, very excited about the presence of man. It's a female dog with a dog version of ADHD in a positive way. It's open to everything and everyone. A new person? That's great, I'm going to say hello! New tour? Sure, let's go! During the walk, Kalinka makes it mandatory to break hugs and kisses, but there is no such thing as personal space with Kalinka. That female dog needs to be close all the time. Even when a man just sits next to her, she must touch him sideways or hold her hand on her knee. Kalinka is positive about other dogs, but she can be a little pushy because she can't control the joy. In turn, not every dog friend can respond. We think she could live in a new house with another dog after getting acquainted. We recommend with all our heart that we adopt this gorgeous lunatic with great personal charm. She's come to us from Scarry's.

Kalinka – kolejny psiak w typie rasy rosyjsko-europejskiej w naszym schronisku, a zarazem takie nasze słoneczko, które rozświetla nam każdy dzień pracy. Młoda, bo w wieku około 3 lat, wagowo 17 kg i 50 cm przecudna sunia. Nowa osoba? Ale super, idę się przywitać! Nowa trasa spacerowa? No pewnie, chodźmy! Polecamy z całego serca do adopcji tą naszą przewspaniałą wariatkę z ogromnym urokiem osobistym. Przyjechała do nas z Bliznego, gm. Jasienica Rosielna.

About Kalinka

What life with Kalinka looks like

Kalinka is a young adult dog waiting at Wesoly Kundelek in Poland.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Kalinka, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Kalinka?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Wesoly Kundelek handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Kalinka on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Kalinka if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Wesoly Kundelek will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Kalinka already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Kalinka isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Wesoly Kundelek early rather than rehoming privately; they know Kalinka and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
