Katteinspektørens redningsaktion

Mixed Breed · Female

In the midst of the bustle on a busy main street, where shops, cars, and city life created a constant din, a heartwarming and unusual rescue operation unfolded at the end of April. A group of plumbers was in full swing with a total renovation of a peaceful building – the kittens were winding around the facade, and the work was buzzing on all floors. But when the floor on the third floor was to be ripped up, everything came to a halt. Behind one of the walls, hidden from the world and the quiet outside, lay a cat mother with her newborn kittens. The plumbers, who suspected that a female had come in through a hole in the roof, did not hesitate for a moment: all work was put on hold, and animal welfare took top priority. The company called in a cat inspector from Kattens Værn. Together with the plumbers, it was quickly determined where the small kittens were, and a hole was cut in the wall so that a trap could be set with food and the kittens as bait, in hopes of luring the mother out of her hiding spot. The kittens – just about three days old – were given a warm blanket to snuggle in while they waited for their mother. Hours passed, and it grew dark. Only at 10 p.m. did the cat mother cautiously crawl into the trap. The cat inspector, who must battle vertigo on the narrow stairs and scaffolding, managed to get her and the kittens safely down and driven directly to Katteinspektørens redningsaktion. It was an evening where neither plumber plans nor vertigo could stand in the way of what was most important: the animals' way and welfare. With six small kittens and a safe cat mother, both the cat inspector and the plumbers could breathe a sigh of relief – and rejoice that an ordinary workday turned into a heartwarming story of care and cooperation. The story also shows that as a cat inspector, one cannot predict what the day will bring. Days hold both good and not so fine experiences, but when the day ends well, it warms the heart. The cat inspectors are our and the cats' everyday heroes!

Frequently asked

Adopting Katteinspektørens redningsaktion, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Katteinspektørens redningsaktion?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Kattens Vaern handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Katteinspektørens redningsaktion on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Katteinspektørens redningsaktion if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Kattens Vaern will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Katteinspektørens redningsaktion already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Katteinspektørens redningsaktion isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Kattens Vaern early rather than rehoming privately; they know Katteinspektørens redningsaktion and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DA). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
