Kawasaki

Mixed Breed Cat · Female · Kitten · 3 months

Kawasaki is back from foster care with her siblings Honda and Yamaha. The foster family says: Little Kawasaki is super sweet and affectionate. She likes to seek contact with people she knows but is a bit cautious and reserved with new people. She loves to be picked up and cuddled. She often lies around and observes what's going on around her. She has been in foster care without her mother but with her two other sisters. She likes to interact with the foster family's three adult cats and doesn't mind if they don't want her. She just pulls back a bit if they say no but tries again. She has met teenagers and a 4-year-old and a 7-year-old child, whom she just needs to get to know. Kawasaki plays, eats, and grooms herself as expected for her age and has been clean throughout her foster care. She is a sweet, cautious, and gentle cat with a calm temperament, and she doesn't mind being picked up and petted. She has a strong need for contact and closeness and would like to be with people and other animals. She should have the opportunity to go outside when she has settled well in her new home. If you want to adopt more than one kitten, she gets along well with her siblings.

About Kawasaki

What life with Kawasaki looks like

Kawasaki is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed cat cat waiting at Kattens Vaern in Kattens Vaern.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇩🇰Adopting from Denmark

Danish shelters follow EU pet passport rules and require an adoption contract. Animals are chipped, vaccinated, and sterilized before placement.

Frequently asked

Adopting Kawasaki, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Kawasaki?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Kattens Vaern handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Kawasaki on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Kawasaki if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Kattens Vaern will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Kawasaki already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Kawasaki isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Kattens Vaern early rather than rehoming privately; they know Kawasaki and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DA). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
