Kefir came to our shelter in 2021 along with over 80 dogs that had been removed from a single property following an intervention. Today, he’s the only one left from that entire group. Why? We really don’t know. Because Kefir lacks for nothing. He’s a cheerful, friendly, and exceptionally sociable dog who loves spending time with people. He’s eager to cooperate, learns quickly, and happily obeys commands. He’s already mastered “sit,” “stay,” and “fetch,” and he approaches learning new tricks with tremendous enthusiasm. On walks, he walks beautifully on the leash. He doesn’t pull, doesn’t seek out conflicts, and doesn’t bother other dogs. He accepts most of them, and what makes him happiest is simply going for walks together and spending time by his human’s side. Kefir isn’t a problem dog—he’s just a dog that someone simply... didn’t notice. Years go by, yet he continues to wait hopefully for his person. Let’s not allow him to become not only the last dog from that intervention but also the one no one ever chooses. Maybe it’ll be you who shows Kefir that it was worth waiting all this time.

Kefir trafił do naszego schroniska w 2021 roku wraz z ponad 80 psami odebranymi interwencyjnie z jednej posesji. Dziś z całej tej grupy został już tylko on. Dlaczego? Naprawdę nie wiemy. Bo Kefirowi niczego nie brakuje. To wesoły, przyjazny i niezwykle kontaktowy pies, który uwielbia spędzać czas z człowiekiem. Chętnie współpracuje, szybko się uczy i z radością wykonuje komendy. "Siad", "waruj", "łapa" ma już opanowane, a nowych sztuczek uczy się z ogromnym zaangażowaniem. Na spacerach chodzi pięknie na smyczy. Nie ciągnie, nie szuka konfliktów, nie zaczepia innych psów. Większość z nich akceptuje, a najbardziej cieszy go po prostu wspólny spacer i chwile spędzone u boku człowieka. Kefir nie jest psem problemowym. Jest psem, którego ktoś po prostu... nie zauważył. Kolejne lata mijają, a on wciąż z nadzieją wypatruje swojego człowieka. Nie pozwólmy, żeby został ostatnim nie tylko z tamtej interwencji, ale także tym, którego nikt nie wybierze. Może właśnie Ty pokażesz Kefirowi, że warto było czekać.
