Ken’ichi is 6 years old and has lived with me in Bochum since he was young. He is a playful, lively, and mischievous degu who likes to encourage his friends to play or go for a run on the wheel. However, he also loves to cuddle. He is very social and caring and has taken very good care of his two friends when they weren’t feeling well. Ken’ichi is rather dominant and has proven himself as the group leader in all previous configurations. He moved in with his two brothers 6 years ago. Unfortunately, both have since passed away, and I have since found two new friends for Ken’ichi. The introduction went well in both cases, and Ken’ichi has enjoyed the company of the other two. Unfortunately, both were already quite old and passed away prematurely. Since then, he has become a bit more calm and reserved, but he still enjoys being petted and loves walnut snacks. As I do not want Ken’ichi to be alone, it is now time for me to reluctantly give him up. Ken’ichi once injured his hind leg, which resulted in him losing his toes. However, this has healed very well, and he walks normally. He has not had any other illnesses so far. I would of course bring along any leftover food and toys, as he is my last degu. I would be happy if he could still have a nice life in community in his old age. Because of course I want him to be well and not be alone anymore, I am willing to take a step towards finding him a new home.

Ken’ichi ist 6 Jahre alt und lebt seitdem er klein ist bei mir in Bochum. Er ist ein verspielter, lebendiger und vorwitziger Degu, der seine Kumpels gern zum Spielen oder Laufradrennen animiert hat. Er liebt es aber auch zu kuscheln. Er ist sehr sozial und fürsorglich und hat sich wirklich liebevoll um seine beiden Freunde gekümmert, als es ihnen nicht gut ging. Ken’ichi ist ein eher dominanter Degu und hat sich in allen bisherigen Konstellationen als Gruppenchef bewiesen. Er ist mit seinen zwei Brüdern vor 6 Jahren bei mir eingezogen. Leider sind die beiden schon verstorben und ich habe im Anschluss zwei neue Freunde für Ken’ichi gefunden. Die Vergesellschaftung hat super geklappt, in beiden Fällen hat Ken’ichi die Gesellschaft der anderen beiden sehr genossen. Leider waren beide schon alt und sind vorzeitig verstorben. Seitdem ist er etwas ruhiger und zurückgezogener geworden, lässt sich aber weiterhin gern streicheln und liebt Walnusssnacks. Da ich nicht möchte, dass Ken’ichi allein bleibt, ist es nun Zeit für mich, ihn schweren Herzens abzugeben. Ken’ichi hat sich einmal seine Hinterpfote verletzt, weshalb er an der Pfote seine Zehen verloren hat. Das ist aber sehr gut verheilt und er läuft ganz normal. Andere Erkrankungen hatte er bisher glücklicherweise nicht. Ich würde übriggebliebenes Futter und Spielzeug natürlich mitgeben, da er mein letzter Degu ist. Ich würde mich freuen, wenn er in seinem Alter noch einen schönen Lebensabend in Gemeinschaft verbringen kann. Weil ich natürlich möchte dass es ihm gut geht und er nicht mehr einsam sein muss, bin ich bereit ein Stück der Strecke entgegenzukommen.
