Female. Born on: 01/01/2020. Breed: European Black and White. Kiara was abandoned when her humans moved. She was taken in by the association and transferred to a Foster Family, which quickly realized that Kiara had a health issue, severe skin lesions. After several veterinary visits, skin biopsies, the verdict was given: Kiara suffers from chronic skin problems, with itching and crusted lesions, an extremely rare condition known as "Eosinophilic Collagenous Dermatopathy." Only 10 cases have been recorded to date. Kiara has a lifelong treatment (revised regularly) that improves her comfort, reduces her itching (and self-mutilation). Therefore, she must follow a strict diet. She is monitored by a dermatology specialist veterinarian who examines each new lesion. Kiara is a sociable, gentle, affectionate, playful cat who enjoys being outside, but will never be put up for adoption for all these reasons. Après plusieurs visites vétérinaires, des biopsies cutanées, le verdict est tombé: Kiara souffre de problèmes de peau chroniques, avec démangeaisons et lésions croûteuses, une affection extrêmement rare, connue sous le nom de "COLLAGÉNOSE PERFORANTE ÉOSINOPHILIQUE ». Seuls 10 cas ont été recensés à ce jour.Kiara a un traitement à vie (révisé régulièrement) qui améliore son confort, réduit ses démangeaisons (et son auto mutilation).
