Adopt Kiara

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 1 year

This is our beautiful Kiara. She was dumped at the sanctuary in July 2025 together with her siblings while she was still a little puppy. Kiara shares a pen at the sanctuary together with her siblings Ozzy and Valentina and her friends Penelope and Greedy. Every day she will go to the field with her pen-mates to play with other dogs and have cuddles with our volunteers. Kiara is a sensitive soul that will need an patient owner that understands she needs gentle guidance and will give her all the time she needs to feel safe. She is focused on the people she trusts and responds very well to them in situations that are scary for her. It is especially people she doesn't know yet that can make her insecure, so she requires a quiet home. She loves her food which will help a lot with her training. Because she forms such strong bonds with her people, we are certain that with time she will become the most loyal companion one could wish for. If you think you are the right fit for this gorgeous girl, please message us !

About Kiara

What life with Kiara looks like

Kiara is a young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Helen in Vratsa region.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇧🇬Adopting from Bulgaria

Bulgarian shelters typically include full vet workup, sterilization, and passport. Many coordinate with EU rescue partners for direct transport to adopter cities in Germany, Netherlands, and Austria.

Frequently asked

Adopting Kiara, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Kiara?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Helen handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Kiara on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Kiara if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Helen will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Kiara already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Kiara isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Helen early rather than rehoming privately; they know Kiara and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
