Kimba has been delivered to the euthanasia in the animal clinic due to its severe allergy, which leads to constant, severe scratching and itching behavior in the head area without improvement due to previous therapy. This one was able to expropriate him and started another attempt with Cortion and a new antibiosis in consultation with us. We are currently still in treatment, but are also looking for a dedicated and loving home with which we can plan together in the long term. Kimba is currently living on one of the shelters in Marburg. It can be visited there after appointment (contact via the shelter). He is a very, very contacting, friendly and active young cat, always wants to be involved in everything, is communicative and curious. He likes to taste and cuddly, most preferably very close to man. Kimba is clever and attentive and is suitable for Clicker training, for example. With other cats he shows himself very curious, distanceless, but not incompatible, but unhealthy. He likes to rise up to body concrete and does not take back. Artmates should be able to cope with his rather dominant and cheeky style – a young, active, socially balanced cat, who can keep with him and has fun at the rust, would be the right society. Freigang Geboren 16.05.2023 BKH Kastriert [x] ja / [] nein Im Tierheim seit 01.09.2025 ________________________ Wir testen jede Katze per Schnelltest auf FIV („Katzen-Aids“, Infos hier!) und FeLV („Katzen-Leukose“, Infos hier!) und klären über den Status auf. Wir informieren hier über das Risiko einer FIP-Erkrankung („Bauchfellentzündung“). ________________________ Kimba wurde aufgrund seiner schweren Allergie, die zu ständigem, schweren Kratz- und Juckverhalten im Kopfbereich ohne Besserung durch bisherige Therapie, in der Tierklinik zur Euthanasie abgegeben. Diese ließ ihn sich übereignen und startete in Rücksprache mit uns einen weiteren Versuch mit Cortion sowie eine neue Antibiose (mehr dazu weiter unten). Wir sind aktuell noch in Behandlung, suchen für ihn aber auch ein engagiertes und liebevolles Zuhause, mit dem wir gemeinsam langfristig planen können. Kimba wohnt aktuell auf einer der Tierheim-Pflegestellen in Marburg. Er kann dort nach Terminvereinbarung (Kontakt über das Tierheim) besucht werden. Er ist ein sehr, sehr kontaktfreudiger, freundlicher und aktiver junger Kater, möchte stets bei allem mit dabei sein, ist kommunikativ und neugierig. Er schmust und kuschelt gerne, am liebsten ganz dicht am Menschen. Kimba ist clever und aufmerksam und eignet sich z.B. sehr gut für Clicker-Training. Mit anderen Katzen zeigt er sich sehr neugierig, distanzlos, aber nicht unverträglich, sondern ungehobelt. Er möchte gerne körperbetont raufen und nimmt sich dabei nicht zurück. Artgenossen sollten mit seiner eher dominanten und frechen Art zurechtkommen – ein junger, aktiver, sozial-ausgeglichener Kater, der mit ihm mithalten kann und Spaß am Raufen hat, wäre die passende Gesellschaft. Er kann mit viel Gesellschaft und Auslastung auch erstmal als Einzelkater ausziehen, wir legen aber Wert darauf, dass er zuverlässig viel Betreuung und Beschäftigung bekommt.
