KIPRAS

Mixed Breed · Female

🌪️KIPRAS🌪️ ‼️FOUND‼️ In Plateliai, Madsėdžių street. This beautiful dog didn't even need to be put on the page for finding a home. After coming from the groomer and radically changing, he received so many applications that they would be enough to find homes for a third of the shelter dogs. But alas... no one wants the others..... What does it mean for an animal to get a lucky ticket? It means to be born looking like some breed. KIPRAS arrived at our shelter from Plateliai, where he was found in the woods. We posted photos, but no one was looking for him. Although the shelter is full of wonderful puppies, the most attention always goes to those that look like something. How many sweet hearts (for years) are waiting until someone sees them, waiting for their person... Most of them are older, shy, or just "ordinary" - and they never get noticed. Although they are a thousand times more gentle and loving than the purebreds - but they lack one important thing. THEY DON'T LOOK LIKE ANY BREED. They only look like themselves. And to see more - you need to look not with your eyes, but with your heart. God help us, we have nothing against purebreds or against those that look like them. Well, at least they manage to find homes. Although they don't have to stay in shelters for long. Here just... for thought...

Nuoroda

About KIPRAS

What life with KIPRAS looks like

KIPRAS is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Plungės Priglaustukai in Plungė.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇱🇹Adopting from Lithuania

The shelter typically completes the animal's vaccinations, microchipping, and pet passport before adoption. Specific fees and process details vary by shelter and country — confirm directly via the contact details in the sidebar.

Frequently asked

Adopting KIPRAS, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about KIPRAS?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Plungės Priglaustukai handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw KIPRAS on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt KIPRAS if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Plungės Priglaustukai will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is KIPRAS already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if KIPRAS isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Plungės Priglaustukai early rather than rehoming privately; they know KIPRAS and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (LT). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
