KIRA

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 7 months

KIRA is a 7-year-old female dog of Rottweiler type, weighing about 35 kg – beautiful, dignified, and at the same time incredibly warm and full of love. Her eyes show wisdom, calmness, and great longing for her own person. When she smiles and wags her tail, the world immediately seems better. KIRA is very smart, quickly understands what is expected of her and gladly cooperates with people. Learning is enjoyable for her – especially if it ends with a treat. But truly, the greatest reward for her is attention and closeness to a person. She loves contact, touch, and shared moments – whether it's play or a quiet walk. During walks, KIRA behaves impeccably, walks nicely on a leash, doesn't pull, and is focused on the caretaker. She is an ideal companion for both short walks and longer excursions – she will find her way in any situation, as long as she is by her person's side. She likes to explore, sniff, and discover the world, but always returns her gaze to the person she is with – as if checking that you are still there. She is social, open, and very contact-oriented. However, it is evident that life in a kennel is not for her. At the Association Przytul Sieciucha in Myślenice, where she currently stays, she has proper care, but that cannot replace a home. Every time she is confined in the kennel, it is a moment of loneliness, and every visit from a person is a great joy – as if she is saying with all her being, "stay with me a little longer..." KIRA is healthy and fully ready for adoption. She needs only one thing – her person. Someone who will show her that she is important, loved, and will never be alone again. In return, she will give you everything she has – loyalty, devotion, and unconditional love. This is not an ordinary dog. This is a lifelong friend who will fall in love with you with all her heart. If you feel that KIRA could be part of your life – don't wait. She really is waiting... maybe just for you.

Kira to około 7-letnia sunia w typie rottweilera, ważąca około 35 kg – piękna, dostojna, a jednocześnie niesamowicie ciepła i spragniona miłości.

About KIRA

What life with KIRA looks like

KIRA is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Fundacja Puszatek in Warszawa.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting KIRA, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about KIRA?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Puszatek handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw KIRA on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt KIRA if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Puszatek will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is KIRA already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if KIRA isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Puszatek early rather than rehoming privately; they know KIRA and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
