adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! Traumpaar has found a home! Their story: Happiness, love, and lots of action in a double package! Red Flash and pretty tiger lasses are looking for a couch to snuggle on. You want to liven up your home and are looking for a cat pair? Then you're at the right address with Kiwano and Cherimoya. These are the approximately 1-year-old sibling cats Kiwano and Cherimoya. The two had a tough life so far. They were found together with their mom in the mountains, away from the city, by animal-loving people who asked our team for help with the little family. The kittens were so young, they had to be fed at one of our foster locations first. Now Kiwano and Cherimoya are looking for their forever home together, so they can finally settle in. Both cat children are sweet and very lively. They have a close bond with each other, which is why the two can only be rehomed together. They love playing with each other, chasing each other, and being rambunctious. Additionally, both are very curious and are just waiting to explore the whole world. We wish for the two a family that is very eager to engage with the little ones and is patient with them when they are still a bit inexperienced. After playing, the two also enjoy lots of cuddles very much. Kiwano and Cherimoya are always ready to move into their new home. For their travel arrangements, they, like all our cats, are neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and tested negative for FIV and FeLV. They also have an EU pet passport in their luggage and are ready to go. Who gives the pretty ones a second chance? They are looking forward to many messages. Many thanks to Silvie S., you gave the sweet ones their wonderful names and thus their identity! Date: 23.05.

About Kiwano&Cherimoya

What life with Kiwano&Cherimoya looks like

Kiwano&Cherimoya is a large young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Kiwano&Cherimoya, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Kiwano&Cherimoya?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Kiwano&Cherimoya on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Kiwano&Cherimoya if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Kiwano&Cherimoya already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Kiwano&Cherimoya isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Kiwano&Cherimoya and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
