Kiwi &#038

Mixed Breed Β· Male

This adorable pair are Kiwi and Lemon! πŸ₯πŸ‹ Kiwi and Lemon were handed in to a local vets at just 2 days old and one of the nurses lovingly hand reared them to be the beautiful boys that they are today. πŸ₯° They are both super affectionate and love company. We are hoping to rehome them together as they are quite close. They can live with children and potentially other cats and dogs. If you can offer Kiwi and Lemon a home to call their own, please get in touch on any day between 11am – 2pm. πŸ’™

About Kiwi &#038

What life with Kiwi &#038 looks like

Kiwi &#038 is a adult mixed breed cat waiting at Hull Animal Welfare Trust in South Cave.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction β€” every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Kiwi &#038, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Kiwi &#038?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Hull Animal Welfare Trust handles screening and the adoption contract directly β€” TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Kiwi &#038 on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Kiwi &#038 if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad β€” Hull Animal Welfare Trust will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Kiwi &#038 already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported β€” ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Kiwi &#038 isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work β€” that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Hull Animal Welfare Trust early rather than rehoming privately; they know Kiwi &#038 and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect β€” names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
