Mochi came to us after a serious accident. She was in a bad way, but she has since recovered well and has fought her way through bravely. Mochi is probably almost completely blind. There may also be some brain damage left. As a result, she needs a lot of rest and predictability. If her world feels the same every day, with fixed sounds, fixed smells and things that stay in place, she can relax and be herself. She can be very affectionate when she feels safe. Sometimes she also lets out a little bleat. That's not anger, but just because the world is still unknown and exciting to her. With time and patience, that will naturally become less. For Mochi, we are looking for a very quiet place, with people who want to give her the time to build trust step by step and follow her pace. She is still recovering and growing in confidence, but we are already looking around to see if her golden basket is ready somewhere.

Mochi kwam bij ons binnen na een zwaar ongeval. Ze was er erg aan toe, maar ze is ondertussen goed hersteld en heeft zich er dapper doorgevochten. Mochi is vermoedelijk zo goed als volledig blind. Mogelijk is er ook wat hersenschade overgebleven. Daardoor heeft ze veel nood aan rust en voorspelbaarheid. Als haar wereld elke dag hetzelfde aanvoelt, met vaste geluiden, vaste geuren en spulletjes die op hun plek blijven staan, kan ze ontspannen en zichzelf zijn. Ze kan heel lief spinnen als ze zich veilig voelt. Soms laat ze ook een blaasje horen. Dat is geen boosheid, maar gewoon omdat de wereld voor haar nog onbekend en spannend is. Met tijd en geduld wordt dat vanzelf minder. Voor Mochi zoeken we een hele rustige plek, bij mensen die haar de tijd willen geven om stap voor stap vertrouwen op te bouwen en die haar tempo volgen. Ze is nog volop aan het herstellen en aan het groeien in vertrouwen, maar we kijken al eens rond of haar gouden mandje ergens klaarstaat.Interesse?
