Klea

Mixed Breed · Female

Klea is a female dog, who spent the last few years in an animal shelter. She is not an easy dog, because... she is very afraid of a leash and leaving the kennel. Every attempt to take her for a walk is a huge stress for her. However, Klea is making progress and she was able to go out for walks several times, during which she was supported by other dogs. In their company, she is definitely braver and more confident. The kennel is a safe place for her - home where she lives with several other dogs and plays fetch on the yard. It would bring her great joy to run with friends around the animal shelter, although she often checks if her kennel is open and can return to it. At the moment, it would be best if Klea lived in a house with a garden. In a home environment and with the support of another dog, she should quickly overcome her fear. Klea needs a calm and patient caregiver, who will teach her how to trust humans and enjoy dog life. Weight: 16 kg. She is spayed, vaccinated, and declawed.

PL·Show original

Waga: 16 kg. Jest odrobaczona, zaczipowana, zaszczepiona i wysterylizowana.

About Klea

What life with Klea looks like

Klea is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Schronisko Czekadełko in Poland.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Klea, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Klea?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko Czekadełko handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Klea on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Klea if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko Czekadełko will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Klea already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Klea isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko Czekadełko early rather than rehoming privately; they know Klea and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
