Adoption requirements Adoption process Request this animal now! Adoption requirements Adoption process Request this dog now! The charming group consisting of Knäcke, Pupok, Wilma, Peach and Beverly is looking for happiness, security and a loving home. The five siblings were born in the mountains of Romania - a fate that many street dogs there share. Their mother was simply abandoned at night and gave birth to the puppies the very next day. Fortunately, the little ones were able to arrive safely with our beloved animal protector Tina and now grow up safely there. From June, Knäcke will be able to start his journey to happiness and pack his little backpack to travel to his heart's people. How can you resist these button eyes? Knäcke is a charming little puppy boy with a curious look and a very gentle nature. He is currently about three months old and is expected to reach a medium shoulder height when fully grown. Of course, Knäcke loves playing, cuddling and exploring the world with his siblings. At the foster home, he lives with many other dogs and has daily contact with people, allowing him to gain many positive experiences. As a mixed breed, we cannot exactly say which breeds are in him. Therefore, his future family should be open to getting involved in the development of a young dog. Like any puppy, Knäcke will naturally have to learn the basics of dog behavior. House training, leash walking, being alone and all the things that belong to a family dog, he will learn step by step with his humans. With patience, love and positive training, he will surely develop into a wonderful companion. Knäcke is microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed and treated for fleas. He naturally brings his EU pet passport with him. After a positive pre-check and against a fee, he may travel to his new home. Infatuated with Knäcke? Then feel free to contact us. Thank you Sandra! You gave Knäcke his funny name! Date: 14.05.2026

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Verliebt in Knäcke? Dann meldet euch gerne bei uns. Vielen Dank Sandra! Du hast Knäcke seinen witzigen Namen geschenkt! Stand: 14.05.2026

About KnÄCke

What life with KnÄCke looks like

KnÄCke is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting KnÄCke, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about KnÄCke?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw KnÄCke on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt KnÄCke if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is KnÄCke already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if KnÄCke isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know KnÄCke and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
