Adopt Kobold T

Mixed Breed · Male · Young · 1 year

🐾 Kobold – young heartbreaker in search of a home 🐾Kobold was born in September 2023, is about 52 cm tall and weighs around 19 kg. He was first spotted between the villages of Kobold T and Kobold T, where he was seen alone with no signs of an owner. After several days of observation, we finally received a tip and found him resting under trees in a wooded area. When he noticed us, he came straight towards us without hesitation, as if he had been waiting for this moment. Since then, Kobold has been living in our care and shares his kennel with another male dog, with whom he gets along very well. The two are a well-oiled team, always playing together, fooling around, and bringing us lots of laughter. Kobold is a young, lively, and friendly male dog who is open and attached to people. He also shows himself to be playful and social with other dogs. His appearance reminds one a bit of a this breed, and fittingly, he loves water a great deal. He brings energy, is at the same time very eager to learn, and wants to please, making him suitable for people who enjoy working with a young dog and growing together with him. A CaniV 4D test conducted on 29.08.2025 was negative. For Kobold, we wish a home that provides safety, structure, and loving guidance. His future humans should have time, patience, and joy in bringing him closer to life in a home and showing him the world. He can be rehomed either as a single dog or to a household with an existing dog. A garden would be nice but is not a requirement. If you wish to give Kobold a loving home, we look forward to your message. We are happy to answer any questions you might have.

About Kobold T

What life with Kobold T looks like

Kobold T is a large young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Hundepfoten Steinfurt e.V. in Nordwalde.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Kobold T, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Kobold T?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Hundepfoten Steinfurt e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Kobold T on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Kobold T if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Hundepfoten Steinfurt e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Kobold T already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Kobold T isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Hundepfoten Steinfurt e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Kobold T and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
