Na początku bywa niepewny i ostrożny wobec nowych osób oraz sytuacji, dlatego potrzebuje czasu, aby poczuć się bezpiecznie i zaufać. Gdy już pozna człowieka i poczuje się pewnie, staje się kontaktowy, czuły i bardzo „miziasty” – chętnie szuka bliskości i buduje silną więź z opiekunem.
