Kornel

Unknown

Cornel is a crazy teenage dog. He is only one year old, so he behaves as is typical for his age - he jumps, runs around, and enjoys his big body. He is still a bit unruly, but we are working on that and the work is not going to waste on Cornel. Cornel is a very smart student and learns quickly. For example, he learned to walk on a leash! When he arrived, he seemed to have no idea what a leash was or what it was for. He looked at it suspiciously and treated it like a threat. However, he quickly got used to it and immediately loved going for walks. He is a strong dog who should go to more active people. His enthusiasm can sometimes be unstoppable, so we do not recommend him for a home with young children - our bachelor is definitely not delicate. However, Cornel is a huge cuddler. He loves belly rubs and hugs. When he arrived, he was a bit lost and tried to scare us with warning barks, but love for humans won out. Cornel should be a single dog at home because unfortunately he does not like other dogs. But otherwise... he is a golden dog. At first glance, he may inspire fear, but inside he is just a cuddly puppy who craves love with all his heart, love he never had before.

PL·Show original

Kornel to zwariowany psi nastolatek.

About Kornel

What life with Kornel looks like

Kornel is a adult dog waiting at Wesoly Kundelek in Poland.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Kornel, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Kornel?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Wesoly Kundelek handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Kornel on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Kornel if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Wesoly Kundelek will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Kornel already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Kornel isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Wesoly Kundelek early rather than rehoming privately; they know Kornel and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
