Korom

Mixed Breed · Male

We would like to ask for your help! We have a very shy boy, who according to our volunteers might be a desert fox and bat mixed breed. We are talking about a young dog who came to us scared and running away. Now he allows me to come a few meters close, but we are stuck. Despite the care, kind words and delicious treats, we have made little progress. Although we also asked for help for our other two behaviorally challenged dogs, unfortunately it never arrived. Now we are hoping again! We are looking for someone who regularly comes to visit Korom on Saturdays and spends time, energy and a lot of patience to tame him. Or someone who takes him into their family and tries to gain his trust by providing him a home. This is his only chance to one day sleep next to his owner in a warm room! Otherwise, he is just a black, shy dog in a hidden corner of the yard, seen by visitors. We are waiting for Korom to tame him at Csévharaszton!

A segítségeteket szeretnénk kérni! ? Hiába a gondoskodás, a kedves szavak és finom falatok, kevesek lettünk. Ugyan a viselkedészavaros két kutyusunkhoz is kértünk segítséget, sajnos sosem érkezett meg, most újra reménykedünk! Keresünk valakit aki rendszeresen kilátogat Koromhoz szombatonként és időt, energiát és rengeteg türelmet szánva rá szelídítgeti. ? ? Csévharaszton várjuk Korom megszelídítőjét! ? 06-20/543-5092

About Korom

What life with Korom looks like

Korom is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Luca Kutyamenedék in Hungary.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇭🇺Adopting from Hungary

Hungarian shelters operate at high capacity given the country's stray population. Animals leave sterilized, chipped, and with a passport. Many shelters coordinate transport to Germany, Austria, and the Nordics.

Frequently asked

Adopting Korom, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Korom?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Luca Kutyamenedék handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Korom on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Korom if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Luca Kutyamenedék will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Korom already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Korom isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Luca Kutyamenedék early rather than rehoming privately; they know Korom and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (HU). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
