Krokus

Mixed Breed · Male · Senior · 14 years

The first step in the adoption process is the adoption questionnaire: The main stages of the entire process are described on our website. Krokus is a young cat who is still learning to fully trust people, but he is already making great progress. Day by day, he becomes more open and is more willing to interact. He gets along well with other cats and clearly enjoys their company. The presence of a feline companion gives him more confidence. Krokus also likes to be petted and human contact. He is a cat for someone who will appreciate his delicacy and allow him to develop at his own pace. In return, Krokus will show increasing closeness and trust. We require windows and balcony/terrace to be secured according to the Foundation's standards. We do not rehome cats to homes without pets. Accepts cats. Does not accept dogs. For a home with a pet or without. Date of birth: 03.2025 Prepared for adoption, neutered.

Krokus lubi też mizianie i kontakt z człowiekiem.

About Krokus

What life with Krokus looks like

Krokus is a small senior mixed breed cat waiting at Fundacja Puszatek in Warszawa.

Senior cats are the gentlest house guests: predictable, mostly silent, and grateful for a sunny windowsill. Older cats often have minor dental or kidney issues — keep an eye on water intake and weight. Many sleep eighteen hours a day and want no part of any drama.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Krokus, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Krokus?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Puszatek handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Krokus on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Krokus if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Puszatek will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Krokus already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Krokus isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Puszatek early rather than rehoming privately; they know Krokus and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
