KROPELKA

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 2 months

There are dogs who, from the very first moment, leap right onto a person’s lap. And then there are dogs like Kropelka—gentle, cautious, and a bit shy. Dogs who first need to believe that humans can truly be kind. Kropelka is about 2 years old and weighs around 10 kg. She’s a petite little lady with a gorgeous, shiny black coat and charming reddish-brown “eyebrows,” a bright muzzle, and a white patch on her chest. Her warm, brown eyes say more than a thousand words—they’re filled with immense sensitivity, gentleness, and a quiet hope that somewhere out there, someone is waiting just for her. Although her early life wasn’t easy... For a long time, Kropelka was chained to a kennel. She’d never known the care, security, or closeness that every dog deserves. Despite this, she hasn’t lost faith in people. She just needs a brief moment to feel safe. Once she trusts you, she blossoms and reveals her wonderful, calm nature. Kropelka’s greatest happiness isn’t long hikes or wild games. What she loves most is simply being close to a human—lying down beside them, resting her head on their lap, and together taking a peaceful nap. It’s then that she truly feels safe. Right now, she has two walks a day, and she absolutely loves them. She walks beautifully on a leash, is well-behaved, and remarkably calm. Walking brings her joy, but she’s not the type of dog who’s always rushing off somewhere. She values quality time spent together far more than grand adventures. We dream of a home that’ll understand her delicate nature—a home where no one expects her to become a brave, outgoing dog from day one. All it takes is a little patience and warmth, and Kropelka will repay you with something priceless: a loyal heart and a love that lasts a lifetime. Maybe it’s you who’ll show her that from now on, life can only get better? If you feel that Kropelka is waiting just for you, get in touch with us and meet this special girl. Give her the chance to have a happy ending to a story that’s been waiting for it for so long.

About KROPELKA

What life with KROPELKA looks like

KROPELKA is a medium-sized puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Fundacja Puszatek in Warszawa.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting KROPELKA, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about KROPELKA?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Puszatek handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw KROPELKA on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt KROPELKA if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Puszatek will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is KROPELKA already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if KROPELKA isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Puszatek early rather than rehoming privately; they know KROPELKA and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
