Kürbiskuchen

European Shorthair · Female · Adult · 5 years

I am Kürbiskuchen! I was found on a company premises and brought to the animal shelter. Now I am looking for a quiet and loving home where I can arrive at my own pace. I am a friendly, cautious and sensitive female cat. I am currently still uncertain about people, but I am incredibly eager and making progress every day. I increasingly seek contact on my own and I hope from the bottom of my heart that I will soon discover how nice petting can be in a real home. I generally get along well with other cats, but I do not actively seek their company and have not yet established closer contact with them. I am currently showing no health problems. For my new home, I wish for loving and patient people who give me the time I need to gain trust. A quiet household would be ideal for me, where it is not constantly hectic and I can arrive in peace. Even sturdy seniors could be a wonderful match for me. I do not need big adventures, what is more important to me are people who see my small progress and celebrate each step with me.If you would like to give me the time I need and accompany me on my journey to a confident cuddly cat, then please contact the animal shelter.Your Kürbiskuchen

About Kürbiskuchen

What life with Kürbiskuchen looks like

Kürbiskuchen is a large adult european shorthair cat waiting at Tierschutzverein St. Pölten in St. Pölten.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇦🇹Adopting from Austria

Austrian shelters follow the federal Tierschutzgesetz framework: adopters sign a Schutzvertrag (protection contract) committing to the animal's welfare. Spay/neuter, microchip, and vaccinations are included; fees typically range €150–€350.

Frequently asked

Adopting Kürbiskuchen, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Kürbiskuchen?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein St. Pölten handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Kürbiskuchen on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Kürbiskuchen if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzverein St. Pölten will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Kürbiskuchen already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Kürbiskuchen isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein St. Pölten early rather than rehoming privately; they know Kürbiskuchen and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
