Kvist

Mixed Breed Cat · Male · Kitten · 3 months

Kvist has returned from foster care where he stayed with mother cat Bregne and the rest of the troll litter. Foster mother says about Kvist: Kvist is a fantastic little fellow. He is a gentle, calm and social cat. But like all good cats, he also has a bit of a stubborn side. He is really good at claiming toys and telling everyone around him that it's his and he doesn't share. Kvist is looking forward to going out and discovering the world around him and until then you can be sure of a companion, some would say a quality control - when it comes to the household. He would like to participate in emptying the litter box, vacuuming (but from a distance) and being involved where something is happening. Kvist is a cuddly little fellow who likes to lie close at night. He loves sticks, all kinds of sticks. He can spend a long time fighting, playing and walking around with one or more sticks at the same time. He gets along really well with Kogle, so they would be good together. He is looking for a home with the possibility of going out.

DA·Show original

About Kvist

What life with Kvist looks like

Kvist is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed cat cat waiting at Kattens Vaern in Kattens Vaern.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇩🇰Adopting from Denmark

Danish shelters follow EU pet passport rules and require an adoption contract. Animals are chipped, vaccinated, and sterilized before placement.

Frequently asked

Adopting Kvist, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Kvist?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Kattens Vaern handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Kvist on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Kvist if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Kattens Vaern will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Kvist already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Kvist isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Kattens Vaern early rather than rehoming privately; they know Kvist and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DA). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
